Seta Colonia is one of the leading European suppliers of fabrics and ready-made articles of pure silk. Our silks originate in China, the birthplace of the sericulture dating back thousands of years.

In 2002 Seta Colonia followed the rich in tradition company ISPERT of Cologne, a pioneer of the German trade with China after 1945, specially of the silk trade.

Seta Colonia in Cologne and our Chinese staff are silk specialists. Our personnel in this country is in charge of the raw silk and the yarn selection. We are in a permanent contact with the silk weaving mills and with the factories elaborating our high-end silk fabrics in their further refinement.

Seta Colonia is operating on the German and on the European market. Our customers are the finishing industry (dyeing and printing mills), the manufacturers of high-end garments, exclusive accessories and interior textiles, the upmarket fabric wholesalers, as well as the textile art.

Our programme includes:

• Pure Silk and Silk Mixtures in the highest grades and in all finishing levels (raw, boiled off, dyed, printed) and in a width up to 280 cm
  

• Silk Noil (Tussah and Mulberry) for the spinning and as filling material for bedcovers

• Accessories of pure silk : scarves, neckties, cushion covers

• Fabrics of other natural fibres : cotton, linen, ramie, hemp

The most demanded silk fabrics (boiled off and prepared for dyeing) in Europe are available from the warehouses in Cologne and in Como, Italy, to cover the short-term needs of our customers.

We offer a full service in regard of the silk purchase, the logistics, the import procedure and the warranty – from the first fabric selection to the delivery of the finished product. Our structure and our knowledge of the silk enable us to invite our customers to develop and to realize new product ideas and creativity with us in this noble material.
